Reviews, negotiates and drafts contracts; reviews, creates and updates templates. Supervises and collaborates with outside counsel on commercial mortgage loan transactions. Regularly works with affiliated external clients while resolving legal issues. Provides opinions or prepares position papers on various legal issues and interpretation of contractual provisions relating to various securities and banking-related matters. Monitors legal and regulatory developments; counsels management and affiliated external clients regarding changes. May act as subject matter expert and supervise outside counsel in securities, banking, bankruptcy or foreclosure litigation. May train internal and external staff on appropriate procedures. Responds to government agencies in relation to insurance financial exams, securities or banking matters.
