The candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders within the Commercial Business Development, Business Unit Management, and Finance teams. Should be an effective business partner who is able to provide practical legal advice, lead negotiations, and bring complex commercial transactions to closure. Shape and improve commercialization processes at Battelle. Operate at the highest levels of integrity and ethical behavior; exercise impeccable judgment and discretion. Autonomously structured, drafted, and negotiate highly complex commercial transactions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders within the Commercial Business Development, Business Unit Management, and Finance teams Be an effective business partner who is able to provide practical legal advice, lead negotiations, and bring complex commercial transactions to closure. Shape and improve commercialization processes at Battelle. Operate at the highest levels of integrity and ethical behavior; exercise impeccable judgment and discretion. Should have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law and in good standing in any U.S. State, preferably in Ohio; 8 years of transactional experience at a nationally recognized law firm and/or as in-house counsel; the prior body of work that demonstrates first chair proficiency in the major; the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to a variety of audiences. Should have experience with structuring transactions in a highly regulated industry; knowledge of intellectual property and how to protect it.
