Profile

We are
currently seeking an IT Manager who will be responsible for firm-wide business applications, data information, associated technology planning and leadership for this newly created position.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Collaborating with leadership to establish goals and priorities for technology solutions to meet the needs of the
organization and operating metrics
Supporting operations improvements through innovative use of technology and strong vendor relationships
Strategizing and implementing comprehensive business application plan for all c
ompany
locations
Overseeing the development, implementation, support, training and maintenance of all business applications used
Have basic understanding of financial practices to be able to create a budget as well as work with companys finance departments on vendor negotiations, capitalizing costs, etc.
Responsible for maintaining vendor relationships to support the applications, associated infrastructure and reporting needs of the
company are being met
Coordinating and participating on all software evaluations
Establishing and maintaining vendor contracts
Performing liaison duties between staff and company leadership in the areas of requirement gathering, systems design, modifications and/or trouble shooting
Oversight of the managed services provider and acting as the onsite support contact
Developing and administering budgets for technology development and implementation
Active involvement with software development, package implementation, and/or infrastructure related projects
Has experience or proficiency with implementation and migration projects and has been there, done that experience
Establish data governance policies to ensure data accuracy across systems and locations
Develop databases and/or reporting leveraging the information contained in existing systems or data repositories
Coordinate activities with data source application owners to ensure integration within other systems and that data integrity issues are addressed
Liaise and attend meetings necessary to perform duties and aid business and technical development
Travel to remote sites in North America (25%)
IT Project Specific Responsibilities:
Perform technical QA and lead design, testing, and implementation of a technical (integration and/or infrastructure) projects
Understand business needs and requirements and help turn those goals into concrete projects
Report budget and finances, including ETCs and EACs.
Create implementation and migration plans as well as back out and contingency plans.
Qualifications:
B.S. in MIS, CIS, IT, and/or Engineering
Record of progressive IT experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven success in small to large scale project implementation
Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through the efforts of others
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and must be able to prioritize and organize the efforts of the IT department
Experience with Business Intelligence solutions and implementations
Knowledge of data warehousing and data management practices, data models and relationships between data elements
Strong technical knowledge using SQL (structure query language)
Has good knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a Business Intelligence environment.
Experience writing data?driven reports, working with data to create reports
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to develop and implement short-and long-range computer systems, capacity, technology, and operational plans
Understanding of common accounting/finance principles
