Tax Senior, National Tax Accounting Group

The candidate will work on engagement teams to provide tax accounting services to non-attest clients. Work closely with Managers and Senior Managers utilizing a standardized approach to prepare and review income tax provision calculations and assist with delivering provision services. Work closely with Managers and Senior Managers to expand the ASC 740 skills of our team, drive innovation, enhance cross-service line teaming, and build our Deloitte brand. Mentor and develop engagement Staff and Interns, providing leadership and guidance on technical and other professional development. Actively participate in marketplace activities, recruiting, and process and technology innovation. Should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other business-related field. Must have 3+ years of experience with income taxes in accordance to ASC 740 and/or IAS 12. A background in tax compliance and accounting for income tax and a broad understanding of US income taxation, Experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) or other similar provision software. One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing able to obtain: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA. If not CPA eligible: Licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. Limited immigration sponsorship may be available. Advanced degree such as MST or MAcc. Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter with demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple, competing priorities. Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
