The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Key tasks include:

Responsible for data requirement gathering, data mapping, reporting requirements definition, reports and dashboard development, report testing and deployment

Build data pipelines to pull together information from data tables; integrating, consolidating, cleansing data, and structuring it for analysis and creating dashboards

Manage the operational and technical components of data visualization and dashboard development

Translate business requirements as well as data requirements to create data visualizations / reports

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations

5 Years experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction

3 Years experience with tools such as Power BI and Tableau for creating data visualizations

Extensive knowledge of reporting objects such as hierarchies, filters, calculated fields, sets, groups, parameters, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems

Working knowledge of Salesforce

Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling

Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
