Commercial Counsel
The candidate will work on complex legal problems with high impact and visibility to division and global leadership; will include: Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including procurement, social media influencer, development, and strategic alliance agreements. Providing legal counsel for commercial projects, in a variety of cutting-edge legal areas, including social media, data sharing, fraud and abuse, and data security. Developing documentation to support products, such as warranties, terms of use, and privacy notices. Should have demonstrated expertise and sound judgment, understand how assigned responsibilities support **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s business objectives, and be able to provide practical, risk-balanced advice based upon a thorough understanding of the scope of an issue, taking full advantage of internal networks and external intelligence. Firm understanding of available legal, functional, and business resources and ability to integrate information from several sources to achieve business results, including breaking down boundaries to create alignment as necessary, in a complex, global, matrixed environment. Should have 4+ years of experience as a commercial attorney at a top law firm and/or in-house, including the provision of legal advice on commercial matters and/or drafting/editing commercial contracts. Must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, demonstrate a strong academic background, and be admitted to a US state bar in good standing; ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound commercial and legal judgment; strong process and analytical skills; excellent problem-solving ability; excellent time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities while ensuring timely completion and follow up; ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects for reporting relationships. Must be adept at follow-up and teamwork. Experience with digital healthcare environments and data privacy/cyber security regulations is preferred.
