DUTIES: Advising management on federal banking laws and regulations, especially consumer laws and regulations. Advising management on regulatory matters relating to general bank operations as well as existing and new bank products and services. Advising and working with the bank’s compliance personnel on regulatory and general bank matters. Interacting with federal and state bank regulatory agencies. Reviewing and negotiating bank contracts, such as, for example, confidentiality agreements and vendor agreements. General working knowledge and experience with loan documents is desirable. Serving as a strategic legal partner to business teams. Coordinating and working on various legal projects as determined by the Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel. Reviewing and negotiating bank contracts, such as vendor agreements and confidentiality agreements Serving as a strategic legal partner to business teams. Responding to retail legal support requests, including customer signature authority, powers of attorney, trust documents, garnishments, citations to discover assets and other day-to-day client-related banking inquiries. Knowledge of Illinois banking laws and regulations is desirable.
