Legal Intern - Consular Processing & Waivers
The candidate will analyze documents and prepare USCIS forms I-130, I-601A, I-601, I-212, I-824, I-129F. Prepare and obtain various FOIA record requests on behalf of clients. Perform client interviews to draft declarations. Prepare clients for Consular Interviews abroad. Communicate with USCIS and NVC regarding procedural and case processing issues. Oversee status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems. Follow internal office procedures. Make regular updates to our case management system, including client information, case tracking information, and client communications. Maintain hard copy files and documents to support all immigration activity on behalf of clients. Ensure that clients are kept informed on the progress of their cases. Assist attorneys and other team members to manage caseload. Complete assignments and communicate case progress/status/issues to supervisors. Should have a High school diploma / GED (or higher) and 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
