Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Support GE Mammography Tomo customers with expertise in review stations, images archiving, images review IT architectures and interfaces with PACS. Provide expertise in PACS, Healthcare IT, archiving solutions and images review workstations. Master the Mammography clinical space, product architectures and design and critical to quality elements. Participate in typical areas of intervention revolving around creating strong workflow maps for customers who are transitioning their practice to Tomo, analyzing customers’ preferences and customizing their IT architecture. Serve as focal point between GE breast imaging organization, GE HCIT, third parties PACS and archiving solutions and CAD providers. Troubleshoot in image storage, transfer and review related customers’ issues. If required to advise customer install base in specific geography. Provide advanced expert support and training in IDI / SenoIris. Act as a technical subject matter expert for new capability development projects. Support GEHC escalation process working closely with customer and field teams to define and support implementation of corrective action plans to resolve customer issues in a timely manner. Coach and train FE's and CST’s to ensure that technical and customer skills are up to date and meet the needs of the business. Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for FE modality training through the Service Quality Standard (SQS) training curriculum. Identify and champion field quality improvements to include hazardous/ non-hazardous complaints via Trackwise.
Qualifications / Requirements:
The primary requirements are an Associate’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Information technology, and 1 year of experience in a related service occupation in the Medical Imaging field. Alternatively, Military training in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Information technology, and 1 year of experience in a related service occupation in the Medical Imaging field is acceptable. The position also requires: One (l) year experience with repair and maintenance of the IDI/SenoIris product, handling/resolving difficult technical issues with expert-level knowledge; One (1) year experience with Healthcare IT/ PACS and/or Advanced computer networking including, Firewall configuration, client server relationship, network infrastructure, server hardware/software support, VM and remote monitoring. Up to 30% domestic travel within the US to customer sites and support installations, Field Modification Instructions (FMis) and customer escalations (CSOs), to address potential network/ interoperability risks for upcoming product implementations, to test and offer mitigation strategies to facilitate successful implementations, and to address issues in a technical support capacity. Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License. Remote/Telecommuting permitted position and reports into company headquarters.
