The group leader for manufacturing planning engineering will be responsible for the advanced planning of new equipment and processes within the Electric Rack Steering assembly area. This position will manage the team responsible for ensuring equipment utilization, state of the art processes and successful launches while continuing to follow the product through its entire life cycle. In this role, the incumbent will work hand in hand with Process Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Logistics to ensure that we are meeting our Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery targets.· Directs engineering work for manufacturing engineers supporting the integration of new equipment and the development of new processes· Supports continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality and productivity for assigned areas of responsibility· Ensure the equipment utilization is meeting the business targets· Responsible for the investment planning and capacity calculations for the business unit· Support the creation of controlled documents (PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, Std. Work) for all new processes and equipment· Support and ensure the successful launch of new customers, platforms and equipment· Create, manage and maintain high performance culture within the engineering team· Participate and build international network within the companyQualifications· Bachelors of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution with minimum 5 yrs. experience in a manufacturing or other relevant industry experience.· Experience with assembly processes ( pressing, torqueing, testing)· Understanding of electric steering systems· Strong management and leadership skills· Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skillsAnalytical problem solver; experience with Shainin problem solving method is a plusAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Job Location
