The Associate Security Architect – Agile Engagement will work closely with Digital & Technology (D&T) teams to help them engage with Security / Enterprise Risk & Compliance on a manage by exception basis. The Associate Security Architect will be responsible for helping teams build compliant application blueprints and supporting documents, helping them identify the appropriate security controls, as well as approved patterns, that apply to their solution. The Associate Security Architect will be responsible for the initial review of submitted blueprints & supporting documentation. Additionally, the Associate Architect will work with the security architecture team to draft new security control documentation, new approved security patterns and maintain the associated document repositories. This role is part of Best Buy’s Enterprise Risk and Compliance (ERC) team and is a highly collaborative role with D&T’s engineering & application development teams.
This role reports to the Associate Director of Application Security within the Chief Information Security Office.
What will you do?
Work with technical teams to answer security related questions and to deliver security requirements during the application design phase.
Work with technical teams to assist in the creation of solution blueprint and security controls table documentation
Act as a Enterprise Risk and Compliance ambassador to development and engineering teams
Draft new security documentation that will be consumed by internal technical teams.
Maintain documentation repositories
Actively participate in the rollout of the agile engagement process, enterprise wide

Basic Requirements:
4 or more years of technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Application Development or Network Engineering, or Network, Application or Enterprise Architecture, Application Security or Security Architecture.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or advanced degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or an equivalent field or equivalent direct work experience is acceptable.
6 months experience in Security Architecture
6 months direct experience with threat modeling methodologies
Industry relevant certifications or trainings
6 months experience with cloud and hybrid cloud architecture and security control
