VP, Head of Global Tax Advisory
The candidate will provide transactional and business expansion support, advise and consult on insurance product qualifications and remediations, support or lead tax research for planning and compliance to ensure risks are mitigated and positions are appropriately reported in tax filings. Support internal customers with timely and sound tax advice, support or lead merger and acquisition tax due diligence, and lead Corporate Tax monitoring and advocacy on tax regulatory affairs and legislative developments. Oversee tax legislative monitoring and advocacy. Develop and advocate tax planning and strategic recommendations. Merger and acquisition planning, support, and integration. Oversee and advise on all tax-related aspects of pension and insurance products. Oversee and guide tax research and documentation standards. Serve as internal tax counsel. Advise on tax information reporting and withholding for insurance products and employee benefits. J.D., LL.M. degree in Taxation is a plus. Should have 8+ years of Experience. Should preferably have 15+ years of experience in tax practice with 5+ years in-house at insurance companies
