Our building materials client is seeking a Trade Sales Representative to work closely with builders, contractors and architects promoting and selling their product lines. Your primary focus will be on new home construction with additional focus on additions, remodels and replacement projects through remodeling contractors. Our client will rely on you to generate and deliver quotes to prospective customer and close new projects. In this position follow-up is key and the ability to overcome objections to secure an order is necessary. Developing long-term relationships with Builders and Contractors is a key ingredient to your success in this position.


Sustain current customers and actively seek out new prospects.

Set-up appointments and meet with all customers and prospects.

Meet personally with Architects.

Manage the customer database to include architect lists, prospect lists, calendar, calls made, quotes, etc.

Address customer objections and consult with Sales Manager as needed.

Must be able to promote and sell new and current services available.


High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Proficient with MS Office.

3 years of outside sales experience.

Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives and little supervision.
