Winston & Strawn's New York office is looking for an associate to support our structured finance group. Candidates should have at least two years of experience with structured finance transactions and/or asset finance. The practice focuses on esoteric and non-commoditized assets classes, financed pursuant to warehouses, non-public ABS and equity structures. All candidates should be highly motivated and committed to mastering the art of building ABS structures, to thinking deeply about the instruments they are crafting, and to understanding the commercial goals and imperative of each transaction and their interplay with complex documentation. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of Articles 8 and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, the U.S. securities laws as they relate to private placements and a have a basic knowledge of bankruptcy law. Strong organization, analytical, writing and verbal skills are key. All candidates must be admitted to the New York Bar.
