HALE - Traveling Field Interviewer
Westat is currently seeking motivated individuals with a commitment to excellence to collect data for an important study funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA). This data collection round will look at life experiences and aging from a cohort of men and women from the Midwest who are now in their 50s and 60s and have been interviewed periodically over time.
HALE traveling field interviewers typically are on out-of-town assignments 2 or 3 weeks a time and up to 4 weeks on an as-needed basis throughout the entire field period. Some regional ravel assignments may be shorter in duration. Traveling field interviewers will locate and gain cooperation from study participants, a cohort of men and women from the Midwest who are now in their 50s and 60s and have been interviewed periodically over time. Traveling field interviewers will generally interview participants in their homes or at a mutually agreed upon place. Traveling field interviewers will administer in-depth interviews, cognitive tests, and physical measures as well as collect bio-specimens using Westat equipment including (but not limited to) a laptop computer, smartphone, iPad, and physical assessment tools (e.g., blood pressure monitor, scale stadiometer, and peak air flow meter).
