WSP is currently initiating a search for Procurement Specialist
for our Rochester, NY
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Develop a strong working knowledge of the procurement phase of projects related to Electric Utilities & the Engineering Design & Constrction of Sub-Stations and Transmission Lines .
·Assist the team in the different phases of the procurement effort: vendor selection, RFP preparation, technical and economical evaluation of proposals, issue of purchase orders, evaluation of vendors performance, etc.
·Improving work process. Support the procurement team developing new workflow diagrams and processes.
·Analyze market and historic data using analytical software.
·Improve methodology for vendor selection, improve procurement planning and logistics.
·Work with other disciplines to produce comprehensive and consistent reports for assigned projects.

· Undergraduate (minimum) degree in a technical discipline.
·5 years of related experience
·Understanding of procurement material management principles.
·Understanding of the dynamics of supply chain management principles.
·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Project, Excel)
·Proficient in data analytic tools
·Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
·Demonstrated teamwork and organizational skills.
·Good interpersonal skills.
·Post graduate degree in a technical discipline.
·Experience with ERP platforms (Oracle or SAP).
·Experience with inventory and material management tools
·Creative and innovative skills
