Unit Description
Sodexo is seeking a Patient Food Service Manager at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center located in Baton Rouge, LA. This strategic food service leader will direct and manage the patient feeding operations at this hospital with an average census of 400 patients. This food service manager will lead, mentor and develop a team of frontline staff and supervisors in a kitchen environment.Â

The successful candidate will:Â
lead the daily operations of patient room service dining program
manage, schedule and train frontline team and supervisors
coordinate department safety and sanitation
ensure operating standards meet and exceed benchmarks
engage with employees and promote an inclusive cultureÂ
We are looking for candidates who have:
management experience in the food service industryÂ
experience leading a team in a kitchen environment and enforcing safety & sanitation protocolsÂ
natural ability to lead and build teams and foster engagementÂ
a background as a Registered Dietitian (RD), Dietetic Technician, and/or Certified Dietary Manager is a plus, but not required

Position Summary
Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company. Key Duties- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.
- Performs audits and prepares reports.Â

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 yearsBasic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
