Transactional Paralegal
The candidate will assist the legal department in drafting and reviewing a variety of the Association’s day-to-day agreements and provide general assistance and support to the legal department on litigation, compliance, and other matters. Serve as a dedicated legal representative to firm various certification programs and will attend working group meetings, review and edit certification agreements, and monitor IP rights and protections around firm Certification collateral. Review and edit a wide array of agreements including but not limited to: license and service agreements, terms and conditions, terms of use, privacy policies, software licenses, NDAs, termination notices, and other legal documents. Monitor firm and its subsidiaries compliance with key contract terms and provisions. Oversee day-to-day contract flow of agreements both internally and externally; and provide cradle to grave contract management. Attend working group meetings and generate notes and/or reports on relevant legal items. Review submissions of firm consumer and business continuity codes for annual certification. Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail required. Excellent writing and formatting skills required. Familiarity with data privacy and information security provisions is not required, but is a plus. Experience in the wireless or technology sectors is not required, but is a plus. Experience in DocuSign, Microsoft Office, with advanced experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. B.A (or B.S.) required. 5 years or more of experience drafting and redlining corporate contracts is strongly preferred. Detail-oriented with knowledge of grammar and punctuation required. Proficiency in proofreading skills and strong communications skills are required.
