Compensation Analyst

Profile

SUMMARY:   Researches, compiles and analyzes salary market data to identify industry trends. Prepares job descriptions and evaluates jobs to determine salary grade. Recommends changes to compensation policies and programs and prepares cost projections. Conducts and participates in market surveys, monitoring AutoZone's competitive position RESPONSIBILITIES: Consults with managers and corporate recruiters on existing positions and create new positions as necessary Creates and write job codes and job descriptions, assign pay grades to positions, and maintain the job code database in PeopleSoft Researches AutoZone data and participate in local and national salary surveys Audits pay changes to ensure the appropriateness of the change and that the proper authorization has been obtained Runs weekly and ad-hoc reports to provide operating unit with required compensation data and to analyze trends Performs cost analysis for compensation and other related programs Preparing and administering common date of reviewsREQUIREMENTS: Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent Area of Study: Business or Human Resource emphasis Years of Experience: Two to three years Type of Experience: experience with business analysis and human resources Special Certifications or Technical Skills: familiarity with Microsoft Access and Excel.
