Description

Responsible for planning of maintenance activities within #3 Board Production and associated areas.

Incorporate safety into all aspects of the position

Must maintain materials and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion to facilitate LEAN concepts.

Must be knowledgeable of plant equipment, operations, and maintenance activities

Be capable of using software needed for creating Visual Work Instructions, job plans, estimating jobs and maintaining the maintenance database system (MP2).

Be familiar with the MP2 system and how it works within the plant.

Able to effectively navigate and manage the MP2 work order backlog to create schedules

Work with plant foremen and maintenance supervisors to schedule all maintenance work for the department based on established priorities and craftperson availability.

Effectively lead daily and weekly RPM scheduling meetings.

Work with vendors and, on a limited basis, contractors, in the performance of assigned duties

Verify work order inventory, collect parts needed for work order completion and pre-stage parts for all work orders (job packages) in the staging area.

Strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with various employees throughout the plant.

Demonstrates influential leadership, decision making, and the ability to efficiently manage people and production needs.

Business minded, people and results-oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Self-starter, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Must have a working knowledge of computer software tools to include word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, MP2, and Oracle.

Must have maintenance background with experience in a wide variety of maintenance areas, including, but not limited to, power transmission, equipment installation, pump systems, fabrication and lubrication.

Must be capable of working with vendors and holding them accountable for high levels of service with regard to availability, delivery and quality of items received.

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of personnel in the plant

Must be reliable and self-motivated.  Regular and predictable attendance is mandatory.

 

Recommended Skills

Ability to read and interpret equipment and plant prints, and mechanical and electrical drawings

Knowledgeable in warehouse concepts, spare parts inventory and procurement procedures

Understanding of periodic maintenance schedules, concepts and procedures to increase equipment lifespan
