The candidate must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted and in good standing as a member of a state bar. Will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact. Must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The firm requires strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and exceptional research and writing abilities. The firm desires candidates with a commitment to providing the highest quality client service. Must be a 3-6 year associate to join the Oil, Gas & Resources practice in our dynamic Houston office. Should have 3-6 years of experience with energy trading, sales agreements, purchase agreements, and other master sale and purchase agreements. Experience drafting and negotiating short-term and long-term LNG purchase and sale agreements, tolling agreements, lifting agreements, hydrogen purchase and sale agreements, power purchase agreements, and various energy commodity purchase agreements, including ISDAs, NAESBs, EEIs, and ancillary documents is preferred. General commodity trading experience is a plus.
