The Medical Informaticist supports the development, implementation, and optimization of clinical information systems and physician adoption of associated processes throughout the enterprise.Â This provider works closely with colleagues in IT to design and standardize workflows that intersect with clinical technologies and align with clinical best practices.Â He or she provides subject matter expertise to assist with the integration of related processes necessary to achieve successful adoption of new technology.Â By working closely with end users (physicians, clinicians, and support staff), the Medical Informaticist works towards improved quality, safety, efficiency, and service across the continuum.Â The goals of this position rely on the applied use of clinical information technology and the tools of clinical process improvement to support clinical best practices and standardization of the environment of care.Â
Doctor, Medical (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
At least 2 years of related experience preferred.
Board certification in a specialty.
Experience working with an Electronic Medical Record required, Epic experience preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office products.
Informatics Certification preferred.
