Role Summary: The Neiman Marcus Group is looking for an experienced, Business Analyst (BA) with experience in Corporate Operations to join the Portfolio Program Management Office team. The position reports to the Manager of PPMO responsible for Finance, Credit, Supply Chain and Store Operations. Our expectation is that you are comfortable with business analysis, business process documentation and requirements gathering techniques, as well as project management and facilitation. You should be self-directed, but will be part of a team of analysts. Specific responsibilities include: supporting cross-functional project teams, documenting business requirements, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and communicating their findings. You should have 2-3 years experience in all or most of the following: Key Job Responsibilities: Serve as the key liaison between the Business and IT teams to proactively clarify business ideas, needs and problems that require technology Define and document detailed business requirements by gathering input from vested business and technical parties Work with your manager and project team to create high level approaches and solutions (scope, functionality, business processes) Understand target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals and translate them into creative concepts and functional components Ability to prepare presentations for project teams and stakeholders Communicate challenges and issues as appropriate Work as a member of cross-functional teams comprised of dedicated and shared resources from the business, IT, and 3rd party service providers Work with third-parties to communicate business objectives and clarify detailed business requirements Provide input to IT project plans in areas of high level requirements, approach to testing and implementation planning Participate and assist Test Teams in quality assurance reviews to ensure that all the business requirements have been satisfied Qualifications:Requirements: Requires a BS/BA or equivalent experience is necessary 2-3 years successful track record as a Business Analyst or similar experience with Business analysis skills including facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering and user acceptance testing Positive track record participating in successful projects with cross-functional teams and a proven ability to balance multiple daily tasks and long-term strategic projects Understanding of Software Development Methodologies Ability to work well independently and under pressure, as well as be highly responsive to business needs Strong focus on teamwork and ability to develop relationships across multiple departments Results oriented with great attention to detail Strong written and oral communication skills High comfort level with Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) Additional skills that are a PLUS for the job: Working knowledge of the retail industry Having strong understanding of financial concepts and operations Knowledge of financial procedural controls and data validation techniques a plus Showing knowledge of stand accounting procedures #CASS,
