A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney to join their team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in trusts and estates, including complex estate planning, asset protection planning, trust and estate settlement, and taxation. This role requires a deep understanding of the legal intricacies involved in estate planning and the ability to provide exceptional client service.

Job Duties:

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel in complex estate planning, asset protection planning, and trust and estate settlement.
• Develop and implement sophisticated estate planning strategies to meet clients' financial and personal goals.
• Advise clients on tax implications of estate planning decisions and structures.
• Handle the administration of estates and trusts, including probate proceedings and preparation of estate tax returns.
• Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on estate planning laws and regulations changes.
• Draft and review various estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Assist clients with wealth transfer strategies and intergenerational planning.
• Represent clients in disputes related to trusts and estates.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors to provide holistic solutions to clients.
• Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, seminars, and presentations.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in trusts and estates law.
• Proven experience in complex estate planning, asset protection planning, trust and estate settlement, and taxation.
• International estate planning experience is considered a plus.
• LL.M. in Estate Planning or Taxation.
• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in The Florida Bar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• LL.M. in Estate Planning or Taxation.

Certifications:

• Member of The Florida Bar.
