Job Description ROLE OVERVIEW The Logistics Manager provides leadership for the development, design and execution of BNA logistics strategies and activities that reduce cost, increase capacity and improve service. This individual manages distribution of product from BNA plants and warehouses to our customers. The Logistics Manager serves as a subject matter expert to the business providing knowledge, insight, and direction for all transportation and distribution related opportunities. Keeps current on domestic transportation related regulatory compliance and ensures Company compliance as required. Monitors and maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for logistics and drives continuous improvement opportunities. Implements industry standard processes and provides best practices solution that are aligned with logistics strategies. WHAT YOU GET TO DO Defines\/Owns, documents and implements standard processes across the division Monitors standard KPI measurements for process adherence Work with Risk Management and Legal to implement policies and procedures that minimize risk of loss relative to logistics activities and personally oversee major claims to resolution Manages the processes that support competitive pricing through benchmarking and ensures service expectations are met or exceeded Subject matter expert in domestic transportation industry and laws\/regulations Track, report, escalate and mitigate on issues, status, timeline, resources and budget Mentor and develop expertise in others; performs all human capital functions for direct reports as necessary Delegate to achieve goals and to develop others Actively engage in change management process Continuous improvement of logistics process Partners with other business teams to design and implement standard processes Participates on the best approach to pilot and deploy solutions Ensures process adherence across plant locations Ensures projects are on time, with quality and on budget Leads knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer efforts Leadership of projects and\/or subject area(s) WHAT WE VALUE Results Orientation - High Strategic Orientation \u2013 Moderate Team Leadership - High Collaboration & Influencing \u2013 High Developing Organizational Capability - High Continuous Improvement Mindset - High Customer Focus - High Business Acumen - High Decision Making & Analysis - High Compelling Communication - High Planning & Organizing - High WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU Bachelor\u2019s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field. 5-8 years relevant work experience. Strong preference for experience in Transportation & Distribution role and familiarity with technology & systems that automate routine transactions. Familiarity in working with systems in manufacturing is essential.
