The candidate will manage their caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our wonderful Criminal Defense Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. Handle a variety of family law cases, including obtaining and defending against Domestic Violence restraining orders, Civil Harassment restraining orders and Workplace Violence restraining orders. Counsel and advise clients on their legal rights, prepare court forms and documents, draft declarations, and conduct legal research and writing including memorandums of points and authorities. Accrue additional evidence to support the client's case and arguments for litigation. Prepare clients for hearings and trial, prepare essential goals of case strategy and gather information from witnesses and important experts that support our client’s positions. Manage court appearances, hearings, and trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research. JD is required. Experience handling restraining order cases and litigation is preferred. Should be admitted in California. Spanish skills are preferred.
