Profile

Seeking a private elementary school teacher to help build & execute a secular homeschool curriculum and to provide complete instruction in all subjects to a 2nd and 4th grader for the 2021-2022 school year.

Responsibilities.

• Develop curriculum to meet developmental goals and instructional activities

• Prepare lesson materials, grade papers, manage the classroom, and evaluate and give feedback to students

• Exercise open & respectful communication with family & co-workers,

• Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required

• Attend conferences and workshops in order to further advance professional development (when/if appropriate)

• Manage student behavior

• Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom

Qualifications.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

• Teaching credential/certificate/license for corresponding age/grade level

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (in the classroom)

• Highly developed oral and written communication skills

• Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with family and students

• Experience developing and implementing curriculum

• Proven ability to maintain a safe and studious classroom environment

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum

• Experience with homeschool environments is a huge plus.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who lives in the Park City area or surrounding area. If you are open to relocating, we’d love to talk to you as well. We are open to this position being live-in.

Salary is commensurate with experience and takes into consideration covered living expenses (should you need to live-in). Benefits to be discussed with qualified candidates. A valid driver's license, cleaning driving record and background check are all required.
