Vp, Enterprise Data Privacy
The candidate will design and implement organizational data privacy policies, procedures, controls, checkpoints, and behaviors that requires to manage the sensitive data handling lifecycle (creation, storage, usage, archival, destruction). Requires significant cross-functional collaboration with Business Unit Operations & Compliance, IT, Legal, HR, and Internal Audit. Establish processes to identify and evaluate new and existing use cases for handling sensitive information. Perform Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA’s) supported by adequate documentation and conduct periodic compliance assessments. Establish a formal role in change management processes for new systems, upgrades to existing systems, and new products/services to incorporate Privacy by Design into the system requirements and future state procedures. Develop privacy risk assessments to prioritize resources and compliance assessments to evaluate the ability for targeted areas to maintain compliance with the Privacy Program. Advise business leaders and employees on opportunities to enhance data hygiene practices, including process and systems redesign recommendations. Establish tracking mechanisms to monitor the deployment of recommended practices and to escalate areas where necessary actions are not deployed in a reasonable manner. Understand technology solutions that can help achieve objectives of the Privacy Program and lead or assist in their implementation, tuning, and operations. Develop and present relevant information about the Privacy Program to management committees. Align Privacy Program with applicable laws and regulations within the jurisdictions where operates and/or exchanges sensitive information. Monitor applicable regulatory activities to ensure awareness of regulatory changes that impact the Privacy Program. Develop and implement Program changes needed to address regulatory changes. Identify and assist with the implementation of processes, controls, and technical aids needed to maintain compliance. Assist in the development and negotiation of data sharing and/or transfer agreements, as needed. Research and respond to technical questions as they arise. Develop and deliver training and awareness campaigns. Customize and oversee routine organizational privacy training. Develop and deliver customized training. Identify gaps in staff privacy knowledge and solutions to enhance awareness and privacy aptitude. Support privacy incidents and lead personal data breach response activities, including incident intake, assessments, documentation and escalations. Maintains enterprise case management information to document relevant privacy matters investigated.
