Securities Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Securities Litigation Associate Attorney to join their New York City office. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in securities litigation, with substantial knowledge of federal securities laws and experience defending class actions related to these laws. Strong legal research skills and Bar licensure in the state/district of application, or immediate eligibility for admission on waiver, are required.

Duties:

• Defend and manage securities class actions asserting violations of federal securities laws.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to securities litigation.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court, during depositions, and in negotiations.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement legal strategies for securities cases.
• Stay updated on developments in federal securities laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on risk management and compliance issues related to securities laws.
• Manage case files and maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in securities litigation at a nationally recognized firm or other relevant legal experience.
• Substantial knowledge of federal securities laws.
• Experience defending class actions asserting violations of federal securities laws is ideal.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Bar licensed in the state/district of application or immediately eligible for admission on waiver.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Bar License in the state/district of application (required) or immediate eligibility for admission on waiver.
