Contracts Paralegal
The candidate will review and negotiate professional service agreements consistent with the firm’s Risk Management, policies, guidelines, and programs; agreements include client contracts, subcontracts, equipment leases, property leases, vendor and confidentiality agreements among others. Respond to questions regarding insurance requirements; request certificates of insurance as needed; and maintain record of requests. Help project teams understand contractual responsibilities while performing project work; interpret contracts to help resolve questions regarding project responsibility; assist with payment disagreements. Respond to questions from around the company on subjects managed by the legal department. Assist the legal department with tasks as assigned by the General Counsel. Other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned. Should have graduation from university, community college or equivalent, and 5 years of related paralegal, legal assistant or legal support services in a law firm or in-house legal department; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. (required). Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients. (required). Experience with professional service agreements. (preferred). Experience working in the engineering and/or construction industry. (preferred).
