A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Senior Advertising Marketing and Promotions Associate Attorney with at least 7 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess substantive expertise in advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions. This role demands exceptional legal writing and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience in a large or medium law firm setting is preferred.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate advertising and marketing agreements, including ad agency, influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, online media buying, and other promotional contracts.
• Review advertising copy to ensure compliance with regulations related to false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and right of publicity.
• Counsel clients on contest and sweepstakes compliance, price advertising, recurring subscriptions, and loyalty/rewards programs.
• Provide strategic advice on false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute matters.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address complex legal issues related to advertising and marketing.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advisories.
• Represent clients in regulatory and dispute resolution processes related to advertising and promotions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions.
• Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex marketing and advertising agreements.
• Experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience in a large or medium law firm setting preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in Colorado or eligibility to become licensed.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in good standing in Colorado or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

• Outstanding legal writing and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing regulations.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
