Associate General Counsel
The candidate will provide legal support and strategic advice with regard to preparing projects for financing, construction, and operation. Help lead and execute project finance and/or equity sale transactions for projects. Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically. Efficiently and effectively manage the project closing process and coordinate between subject matter experts and outside counsel. Develop and coordinate relationships with external lawyers and maintain a good balance between usage, efficiency, and cost. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Should have 2-8 years of experience in general corporate work, M&A, debt and equity financing, or other business transactions at a top-tier law firm, sophisticated corporate legal department or combination of the two. Commercial contracts experience, including reviewing, revising, drafting, negotiating, and advising on sophisticated and complex contracts. Experience managing and documenting complex transactions. The ability to identify and implement practical solutions to complex business and legal problems. Demonstrated flexibility and organizational skills to manage numerous and sometimes competing responsibilities of varying urgency and criticality within a fast-paced work environment. Hardworking, responsive and adaptable to what the situation dictates, including possessing the diligence to advance matters independently, combined with the strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse team. Demonstrated a high level of integrity and professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential information. Excellent business discernment and the ability to evaluate risk from a legal and business perspective. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented perspective. Admitted in any US jurisdiction.
