Senior Legal Counsel

The candidate will provide comprehensive legal services in the areas of commercial contracting (specifically logistics services agreements and transportation services related contracts with the customers), Procurement (vendor contracts), contract dispute advice/resolution (pre-litigation), and Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance. Will work with department colleagues to establish best in class legal processes and procedures to assure business objectives are met and legal risks are identified and mitigated. Provide services to one or more firm business units, business teams, and internal customers. Collaborate frequently with business partners to develop contracting strategies and ensure goal alignment across cross-functional teams. Provide rapid, practical, business-oriented advice to other legal team members and directly to internal clients. Devise and manage scalable processes and procedures to navigate commonly encountered legal issues. Ensure the company's commercial negotiations are conducted to the highest ethical standards. May be asked to manage other legal professionals. May assist with budget preparation for legal function in the area of responsibility. Understands firm's business operations, goals, and strategies; has a deep awareness of business, goals, and objectives.
