Director, Investor Education Community Outreach
Duties: Develop and manage outreach and public engagement initiatives that benefit underserved financial consumers and investors, and include people from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with national and local organizations to enable, facilitate, and deliver innovative financial capability programming to, and foster engagement with, diverse communities. Manage and monitor the work of multiple external partnering organizations and consultants to achieve program goals. Identify and build working relationships with suitable partnering organizations and experts. Collaborate with other company departments to advance diversity and inclusion objectives across all aspects of the program. Serve as an advocate for informing and educating underserved americans about saving and investing. Work with non-profit organizations, individual investor groups, securities regulators, the media, and others to further shared investor education goals. Work with corporate communications to develop an effective media strategy for the office and investor education initiatives. Represent company at national conferences and forums. Design and implement a comprehensive plan for building financial capability within diverse communities through the company foundation and in collaboration with company employees, especially company employee resource groups. Develop, implement, and manage high-profile consumer education programs about personal finance and investing. Design and present for approval to the company investor education foundation board of directors (foundation board) a comprehensive strategy for building financial capability within communities of diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. Prepare and deliver periodic reports to the foundation board and the company board of governors. Monitor and document program outcomes. Prepare and deliver updates to company senior leadership, including the management committee, the company board of governors, and the foundation board. Evaluate the effectiveness of all program-related activities, identifying desired enhancements to future efforts. Enhance existing company foundation programming and initiate new programming to ensure inclusion of diverse audiences. Develop and monitor program budgets. Oversee development and publication of program-related research in collaboration with internal and external researchers. Prepare meeting materials for the company foundation's board of directors. Present action items and discussion items at board meetings as appropriate, and respond to board priorities and directives. Ensure compliance with the company foundation's programmatic and grantmaking procedures. Review procedures regularly and respond to internal audit requirements. Oversee the production of investor education materials and tools in various media, including print, video, and online. Seek effective avenues for the dissemination of investor information. Quickly and proactively prepare education materials. Provide strategic guidance to the senior vice president of the office of investor education. Manage program manager in handling execution of contracts and grant agreements. Ensure the completion of milestones and work products. Develop and lead investor education outreach initiatives that empower company employees nationwide, especially members of company employee resource groups, to engage diverse and underserved communities. Negotiate contracts and grant agreements relevant to selected company foundation programs.
