Litigation Paralegal
The candidate supports litigation attorneys and paralegal supervisor in all facets of litigation. Organize and maintain litigation files. Work with insurance carriers on billing and claim notices. Work with various departments to obtain necessary information relating to claims. Work with finance department on billing and maintaining legal reserves. Review and process vendor bills including using electronic billing system. Organize documents and coordinate document productions. Conduct various document searches and factual research. Draft various legal memos including litigation hold memos. Prepare matter materials for case hearings. Act as liaison among various internal departments and outside counsel. Provide administrative support to attorneys including calendar and travel management. Responding to requests for information. Other duties as assigned. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel (spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of Legal Tracker is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic. Sound judgment and problem solving abilities. Ability to analyze complex information requests. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Paralegal Certification is a plus. Prior insurance experience is a plus. Recommended 2 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
