The Elderlaw Firm, located in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a full-time estate planning and elder law attorney. To serve our clients and be effective in this role, successful candidates must have a JD and an active NC license. LLM in taxation preferred. 1- 3 years’ experience in estate planning or elder law will be considered with related tax experience helpful. This role will spend most of their time drafting documents, reviewing asset reports and funding materials, reviewing VA and Medicaid benefits applications and working in estate and trust administration. This position will also conduct client signing meetings and may assist with client design appointments. So, exceptional research, writing and proofreading skills are necessary, along with excellent verbal communication skills and follow through abilities in order to work on multiple client files at once and within a prescribed amount of time with the ability to meet deadlines. This is a fast pace environment and we are looking for a team player with strong organizational and time management skills along with someone who is ok sharing an office and working behind the scenes spending a lot of time drafting documents. We don’t need a business development attorney- we’ve already got that covered. But, what we do need along with your required skill set just mentioned – is a GREAT attitude, a self – starter…someone who takes initiative and is willing to learn. We also value honesty, integrity and hard work.
