McGlinchey Stafford seeks a litigator with 2-5 years of experience handling civil litigation including but not limited to insurance defense, premises liability, and workers' compensation claims to join our New Orleans or Baton Rouge office. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to further develop their skills while receiving training and mentorship from experienced attorneys.
Flexible schedules are available. While we encourage our attorneys to have a regular presence in the office to promote collegiality and our firm culture, our remote work policy provides for some remote work options
. Candidates must be licensed in Louisiana and that license must be active and in good standing.
We seek candidates with:
2- 5 years of litigation experience with a specific focus on civil litigation including but not limited insurance defense, premises liability, and workers' compensation claims;
A current license to practice law in the state of Louisiana is required, must be active and in good standing;
Ability to draft briefs, pleadings, motions, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements;
Experience gathering discovery and taking and defending depositions; and
Ability to distill research into meaningful and persuasive written work product and to work meticulously to ensure the quality of work product.
Ideal candidates will also have:
A team mindset while assisting with preparation for litigation;
Top 25% of class;
Confidence in serving as a representative of clients and our firm while meeting and conferring with opposing counsel;
Excellent research and analytical skills as well as clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; and
A demonstrated dedication to client service.
