A well-established law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its St. Louis office. This role involves managing a diverse caseload through all stages of litigation—from pre-suit to post-suit resolution. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Missouri and bring strong legal writing, courtroom presence, and strategic thinking to a collaborative legal team. Additional licensure in Kansas or Illinois is considered a plus.

Location

Duties

• Manage litigation caseloads through pre-suit, active litigation, and post-suit resolution

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and related filings

• Conduct legal and factual research on complex case issues

• Develop legal strategies for claims and defenses

• Maintain consistent communication with clients, legal team members, and firm partners

• Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, and related proceedings

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri

• Additional licensure in Kansas, Illinois, or other states is a plus

• Prior courtroom experience preferred

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and case deadlines

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active bar membership in Missouri (required)

• Good standing with all applicable state bar associations
