Summary: The Communications Senior Analyst is responsible for collaborating with leadership and team members to support enterprise project communication initiatives. In this role, the Communications Senior Analyst operates as an internal communications consultant to leadership and team members on critical projects, including but not limited to internal communications, events, story writing, survey creation and execution, data analysis, presentation creation. The Communications Senior Analyst will collaborate with other team members to support and lead communications and engagement activities. Candidates for this position must have demonstrated proficiency in the following areas: communication planning and execution, organizational change management, graphic and visual design, desktop publishing, content development, and editing, coaching, and mentoring of team members and project teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on all things communication: written, graphic, data visualization, etc.
Able to effectively collaborate and guide team members at all levels.
Owns content management system, including distribution lists and analysis.
Collaborates with business SMEs, project leadership, and org change project managers to develop and execute project communication plans.
Collaborates with business SMEs, project leadership, and org change project managers to develop presentations.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a discipline such as communications, journalism, graphic design, management, business, or other related areas. Equivalent work experience may be acceptable.
EXPERIENCE: 2 plus years experience (prefer four-plus years of experience) with responsibility for leading efforts or teams in communications on large or complex projects and events, mergers and acquisitions, Enterprise Resource Planning ERP projects, and organization realignments. Previous experience as an internal or external consultant working within all organization levels, including executives and business leaders. Experience writing and executing communication strategies and plans.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Adobe Creative Cloud experience strongly preferred. Specifically, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Premiere Pro and After Effects are helpful but not required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including active listening facilitation and presentation skills.
Ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
Ability to establish and maintain solid relationships and work effectively at all levels of the organization.
Ability to adjust to different leadership styles.
Ability to influence others and move toward a shared vision without formal authority.
Ability to accept and adjust direction based on constructive feedback.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Able to align business change initiatives with the corporate vision and mission – see the big picture. Able to digest and leverage complex business, organizational, and technical issues and challenges; flexible and adaptable; comfortable working in ambiguous situations.
Must be organized with a natural inclination for translating strategy into tactics and deliverables. Must be a problem-solver, experienced in root cause analysis, and can work collaboratively with and through others.
SUPERVISORY: None TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required. Individual project requirements will determine the amount of travel.
