Patent Agent

The candidate will hold technical degrees–many having Masters and/or Ph.D. degrees and many have substantial work experience prior to becoming lawyers. We have been further enhancing our technical expertise and depth through a patent agent and technical specialist program. Our patent agents and patent engineers have outstanding technical backgrounds and an interest in working in the area of patent law. Our patent agents and patent engineers focus on patent prosecution, although they also assist with litigation and corporate matters that require technical assistance. In addition, our patent agents and patent engineers are also eligible to participate in our tuition reimbursement program for law school. Must have 4-10 years of patent prosecution experience. The ideal candidate would have experience as primary contact for start up clients. Candidates should have an electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or physics background, or equivalent experience, preferably M.S. or higher. Candidates should have passed the patent bar, and have superior technology background and academic credentials, and excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
