Billing Accountant
The candidate will maintain complete billing records for assigned bills and attorneys. Review each bill in final form; make file copies and mail bills to clients. Submit bills electronically through vendor websites. Maintain specific client billing requirements and ensure that requirements are met. Work with assigned group of attorneys and secretaries to ensure that billing requirements are met and bills are completed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner. Ensure that billing deadlines are met. Meet schedule as directed by management to promptly mail and record bills. Review, research, and resolve client overpayments. Maintain regular, prompt attendance. Work well with others as part of a team. Perform other duties as needed or required. An associate's degree or equivalent, preferably with a degree in accounting, plus 1+ years of accounting experience; or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in a legal environment and with Aderant Expert software are preferred.
