Family Law Attorney
The candidate will assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date. Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings. Prepare Family Law related documents including pleadings and correspondence. Provide legal counsel and strategy to clients by analyzing their needs and determining the proper course of action. Represent clients in court. Step in and handle pieces of existing family law cases; as well as handle new cases as part of a team, from initial consultation to trial. Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree is required. Should preferably have 3+ years of family law experience but more experience. An existing book of business is a plus. Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) is required. Must be admitted to practice in New Jersey.
