Description
The Senior Vendor Management Professional works as liaison between vendors and organization. The Senior Vendor Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
Location: work at home anywhere
The Senior Vendor Management Professional reviews and negotiates terms of vendor contracts and communicates with vendors to regarding day-to-day matters. Builds and maintains positive relationship with vendors and monitor vendor performance. Researches invoice and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies.
This position is part of the Inbound Clinical Contact Team, which includes an internal phone team and an external vendor call center. This role will provide support and oversight of the vendor call center supporting the provider calls. There are approximately 300 vendor associates taking calls from our providers. We monitor the quality of the provider experience, as well as, ensure proper compliance is achieved.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Vendor management, contract oversight and invoice reconciliation
Build and maintain strong relationships with the vendor and internal Humana teams
Monitor the vendor's performance and ensure contractual adherence
Assist with the creation of internal tracking tools and processes for enhanced oversight of the vendor's activity
Get into the data and support the department with actionable insights and recommendations
Identify projects and process improvements to drive business forward and increase synergy between the internal phone team and vendor call center
Research issues or complaints and address with the vendor, as appropriate
Collaborate across the company and bring out the best in others to get us to the right answers
Role Essentials
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5 years or more of vendor management experience and/or process or project management experience
Demonstrated ability to define and track KPIs and other measurable success criteria
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within a team or internal division)
Strong facilitation skills
Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills; detailed and well organized
Relationship management skills

Progressive operational experience
