UC Undocumented Legal Services Staff Attorney

The candidate will assist the student population in navigating the immigration system and provide legal assistance. Must have J.D. degree and member of a State Bar. Should have practical experience in immigration law practice including removal defense experience in the intersection of criminal and immigration law, affirmative family-based immigration relief, U-Visa, VAWA, adjustment of status, DACA, and Advance Parole. Experience working with low-income communities and immigrants a plus. Should have knowledge of legal and non-legal electronic databases to sufficiently support preparation of complex documents. Must have experience using writing, editing and proofreading skills to write complex documents, draft and create legal documents clearly, logically, and precisely with close attention to detail. Member of the California bar preferred.
