the candidate will continue to evolve and improve WestRock’s privacy compliance program, including policies, processes, training and awareness, monitoring, review and assessment. Analyze privacy and cyber-related legal requirements and develop associated compliance plans. Provide business-focused solutions that protect personal and sensitive data while supporting business development. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders who manage vendor and third-party relationships with access WestRock data or systems, including due diligence process for vetting vendors and privacy and cyber contractual obligations. Manage privacy complaints and incidents, including investigating and responding to data breach incidents, and provide guidance and direction on privacy or breach impact associated with such incidents. Stay informed about new and evolving data protection regulations and industry developments, including monitoring trends in privacy and security laws and public policy, and be able to translate such developments into action plans where required. Review and revise contract language. Collaborate with other key stakeholders to develop and maintain response plans and procedures, reporting and tracking tools, and internal and external reporting mechanisms related to privacy and cyber. Provide subject matter expertise to internal WestRock stakeholders as appropriate, such as data governance, acceptable use of WestRock computer systems, record retention policies and schedules, data security and privacy by design practices. Review and assist with customer-driven information security and privacy questionnaires in a manner that appropriately manages and mitigates risk to the Company. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to effectively manage workflow and projects with competing priorities in a proactive and highly responsive manner. Contribute to the short and long-term courses of action that support the organization's overall vision and mission; balancing business, technical, and operational issues when determining a strategy; incorporating knowledge of goals/strategy as well as competitive, customer, supplier, industry, or marketplace trends into strategic plans; capitalizing on opportunities and managing risks.
