Purpose and Scope To provide direction for the activities of the LIN Supply Chain, Manufacturing Scheduling \/ Demand Management, and Customer Service groups in order to meet company, plant and departmental goals. To insure component inventory levels are within a prescribed range, that level of output matches customer demand, and to ensure fulfillment of all customer commitments. Responsibilities Responsible to manage the development of a work plan and all supply chain, purchasing, and handling to support on-time deliveries with minimal inventory investment.\u00a0 Analysis of the loading relative to capacity, developing and leading a (Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning (SIOP)) approach to managing supply and demand.\u00a0 Manage flow of materials from supplier to the plant, from plant to plant, from the plant to finished inventory, and from finished inventory to the customer.\u00a0 Support and manage Pull Material Flow \/ Kanban System.\u00a0 Facilitate Just-In-Time Manufacturing Processes 6. Provide support to TMOS implementation efforts.\u00a0 Contribute to the continuous improvement of Cost of Manufacturing Operations throughout the entire system (supplier to customer).\u00a0 Selection, development, performance management, safety, and motivation of the Supply Chain team. Technical\/Functional Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High degree of computer proficiency. Power User SAP experience. Working knowledge of MRP, MM and PP modules. Experience in fact based analysis and knowledge of planning and scheduling principles Strong complex problem solving skills. Ability to lead and coordinate projects independently and work in a high performance team environment. Independent problem solving ability. Broad background knowledge of TS (Tapered Single) Operations. Education Bachelor Degree of Business, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting. Master of Business, Supply Chain or other related field preferred. Professional Experience 8-12 years of TS (Tapered Single) Operations experience. 5-8 years of Supply Chain experience. Previous management experience is a preferred. Experience dealing with external suppliers. Licenses or Certifications APICS CPIM or CSCP certification or coursework preferred.
