Summary: As a key member of the Financial Organization, this position is responsible for applying financial practices and theory for the analytical, planning and financial accounting activities for Instron, North America. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: \t\tResponsible for the Accounts Receivable process, including management of a team of 4 to 5 individuals responsible for collections, cash applications, and credit management.\t \t\t\tResponsible for the completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements of ITW (FRIDA) for Instron US, as well as other ad-hoc requests. Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of the Annual Tax Packages required for reporting to ITW.\t \t\t\tInsures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This is to include, but will not be limited to, the monthly allocation process, balancing of certain trial balances, GL account analysis, providing data for commission calculations and respective supporting entries required to the GL.\t \t\t\tProvides business team leaders with financial support.\t \t\t\tPrepares monthly reports of financial results for local management.These reports generally compare actual performance to plan, forecast and/or prior period.\t \t\tSupports in the preparation of annual budgets and short-term forecasts for Instron US.\t \t\t\tCreates, maintains, and oversees the financial reports in the ERP system used in the review and completion of ITW reporting.\t \t\t\tWorks with corporate personnel and internal/external auditors on all issues relative to this position.\t \t \tKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:\t \t\tRequires accounting and computer knowledge, normally acquired in four to six years of experience in an accounting office, prior manufacturing experience helpful.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.CPA and/or Master’s degree highly preferable.\t \t\t\tMust possess leadership qualities, including being flexible, reliable, a self-starter and an effective communicator and presenter, in order to work effectively with management and co-workers.\t \t\t\tA positive attitude focused on understanding, anticipating and responding to the needs of our customers, both internal and external to the department and company.\t \t\t\tInterpersonal skills needed to deal effectively with suppliers and company personnel in resolving discrepancies and disputes.\t \t\t\tStrong Analytical Skills and detail oriented.
