The candidate will defend insured first party and assignment of benefits claims against HO insurer. Will understand claims process, ability to review and understand claims file and insurance company documents, and prepare discovery responses. Draft court-ready documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery. Should have Florida Bar member in good standing. Must have strong litigation drafting skills and attention to detail, including knowledge of Fla. R. Civ. P. and Fla. Evidence Code. Experience working with engineers and other professional expert witnesses is essential. Some motion hearing experience is preferred. Foreclosure and bankruptcy experience is a plus. Real property litigation experience is a plus. Law review experience is a plus.
