Telecommunications Project Manager

Profile

This position manages and directs daily tasks required to perform telecommunications project and ensures integration with electrical services. Directs, oversees, and controls a small team of multi-disciplined personnel to accomplish activities of the task area. This position is responsible for the overall quality of work performed in task area and is responsible to coordinate Project Support Agreements for planning projects and perform established quality measures for assigned projects. The individual projects telecommunications technical solutions, provides cost estimates reviews for communications materials and services by other agencies, and supports technical reviews for assigned projects. The individual will coordinate project requirements with end users, Air Force staff agencies, Client Systems Integration Manager-Base, and local base and unit organizations to ensure proper implementation of required services. The individual will ensure adherence to base telecommunications architecture and to ensure that maintenance work centers responsible for the maintenance on new systems and/or system changes have coordinated and signed off acceptance documentation. The individual must also be skilled in the practice of U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense business practices, policies and procedures, tools, documents, forms, and information systems.
Job Requirements :
Capable of working independently and with demonstrated working knowledge of Air Combat Command Air Force Network Operationswork in information and communications systems, project management, electrical engineering, and quality control
Possess and exhibit expertise in program and project management of automated data processing systems to include hardware, software, communications, and integrated logistics support requirements
Experienced in developing concepts, planning documents, implementation strategies, and technical architectures
Possess experience with guiding the implementation and fielding of downward directed and ACC initiated automated information system and applications under the Air Force Communications Agency AFCA certificate to operate processes
Possess experience in running configuration management and requirements processes as they relate to Advance Dynamic Programming (ADP)-based systems fielded within the command
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
2-5 years experience
