Financial Planning Analyst
The candidate will work closely with the Director of Reporting and Analysis on data mining and manipulation, financial report design and analysis of the resulting data. Handle ad hoc requests for financial data from Attorneys, Firm Leadership, and Administrative Staff. Modify and design financial reports and processes to help maximize efficiencies within the Accounting Department. Prepare and present presentations of firm financial data to Firm and Practice Group Leadership. Manage and maintain data sources outside of the core financial system to facilitate financial reporting. Perform quantitative analysis and modeling, follow and communicate key performance metrics, and produce concise visualizations. Other duties and projects as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field required. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of five years of related experience. Law firm experience strongly preferred, but not required. Experience working with relational databases is required. SSRS report writing experience is preferred. SQL query writing skills are preferred, but not required. Demonstrated strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Power Point and Excel. Familiarity with the Elite 3E database is preferred. Detail oriented with strong mathematical, analytical and computer skills. Ability to learn new concepts quickly and efficiently. Ability to work effectively with various levels throughout the Firm is a must. Professional standards of tact, discretion, positive attitude, and appearance. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Strong attention to detail; high level of accuracy a must. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task with a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional oral and written communications skills. Professional and courteous communication with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and staff are a must. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information comfortably and competently.
